Colorado is my home-state and one of my most favorite places ever. It has colorful scenery, majestic purple mountains, hiking trails, crisp air and tons of dog friendly places. So, it’s no surprise that it also has some of the absolute best, luxurious mountain wedding venues.

Blackstone Rivers Ranch is one of my favorite mountain wedding venues in Colorado. As soon as you park and get out of your car, you’re greeted with the most peaceful sound of the running river that flows through the property. Enter the cool mountain air and you’re instantly in the most serene headspace for your wedding day.

Blackstone Rivers Ranch features an outdoor experience for both your ceremony and your reception. The white tent that covers the dance floor and dining area makes for the most beautiful canvas you can jazz up with your unique style and vision. Not only that but their getting ready suites for wedding couples are HUGE! Each getting ready suite has their own spacious balcony, allowing opportunities for photos both inside and outside. If you have your wedding at the right time of year when mother nature allows for it, you could even get your hair and makeup done outside on the patio. Of course, both patios are hidden from each other so you don’t have to worry about accidentally running into your fiancé/fiancée before you’re ready for your first look or when you’re walking down the aisle.

Here are a few reasons I love Black Stone Rivers Ranch so much and why you should consider saying your “I do’s” there with your forever person.

1. Spacious getting ready rooms

As I mentioned before, their getting ready rooms are gigantic. Often times, there is so much hustle and bustle hanging out and getting ready on your big day that items get thrown all over the floor. Clutter can build up fast in a getting ready suite. Having a space large space with so much natural light that features both an option to get ready in or outside is a huge bonus. This gives you the option to leave all your stuff in one spot and have enough room to move around for photos without having to stress about all the clutter from your wedding party. Also, who wouldn’t love to be outside in nature getting ready on their wedding day? It’s a win-win, if you ask me.

I am a huge fan of being outside in nature. It’s no surprise that mountain wedding venues are my favorite. Blackstone Rivers Ranch has a calming effect on you. The tranquility of the river, the trees and the mountains make it the perfect venue for enjoying every single moment of your day. There are fire pits all around the reception area when the evenings get a bit cooler and they aren’t far from the dance floor where you and your besties can get down for one epic dance party. Dancing outside under the stars? Um, YES PLEASE!

4. Their venue also shines at night

The transformation from day to night is magical. You get the best of both worlds, here. What is a gorgeous, intimate mountain wedding venue during the day also turns into a magical wonderland at night. As soon as the sun goes down, the walkways are illuminated with string lights that add a fairy-tale-like glow to the entire property. It’s like you’re walking in a wonderland.

Have you ever been to a wedding venue that didn’t have a contingency plan in case of inclement weather? I have and let me tell you, that is STRESSFUL! Blackstone Rivers Ranch has both indoor and outdoor options. So, you don’t have to worry about not having a Plan B because they will always have you covered, literally.

I could list a million more reasons why Blackstone Rivers Ranch is one of the best places to get married. On top of everything I’ve listed, their staff is top-notch. They’re so kind, hardworking, and they truly care about both their couples AND their fellow vendors. I sincerely cannot WAIT to document precious memories here for my future couples and bring their wedding day visions to life!
