It’s no secret that couples have had to adjust their wedding plans over the last year. Cynthia and Alyssa’s wedding planning had been going pretty smooth, the forecast was looking great for their big day and that magic wedding excitement was starting to swirl pretty hard. Then, the unthinkable happened the week before their wedding; a crazy winter storm hit Texas. Roads were closed, trucks couldn’t get in to supply grocery stores and gas stations, people lost power and water, floral deliveries were in question. The list of stressors and worry hit an all-time high and there was a possibility that Alyssa and Cynthia may have to postpone their big day because of the winter storm and people’s safety.

Thankfully, the sun decided to shine on Thursday and Friday, clearing up the icy roads and power started coming back on. By the time Saturday hit, you would have never known what had hit Texas the previous week by looking outside.

Cynthia and Alyssa’s day was filled with so much love and warmth. The way they treat each other, their friends, family and vendors speaks volumes about who they are. They welcomed every single person (especially us vendors) with love and open arms and their guests did the exact same.

Witnessing and documenting their love story is and was such an honor. I’ve gotten the opportunity to know Alyssa and Cynthia over the last year and a half or so and I truly hope we always remain friends long after. One thing for sure, I’ll forever be stalking Cynthia’s Facebook page because she posts the most HILARIOUS memes and I actually laugh out loud when I read most of them. Whenever I need to brighten my day or laugh a little, she always comes through for me.

I was just so dang excited after their big day, I had to honor it by blogging a few sneak peeks.

Congratulations, my friends and THANK YOU!

I’m a brand strategist, photographer, and podcast host with a soft spot for big feelings, bold color, and founders who care deeply about what they’re building. I help translate who you are into visuals and language that actually feel like you. Not the safe version, not the watered-down version, but the honest, grounded, wildly compelling one. Strategy, intuition, humor, and a strong editorial eye come with the territory — along with conversations that go deeper than surface-level branding. The result? A content library that lets you post less, show up more, and stop scrambling every time you need to create something."
