Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
The short version: I use Google Analytics to see which pages get visited, but only if you click Accept on the cookie notice. I don't run ads, and I don't collect anything else from you unless you choose to send it.
Who I am
This is the personal home page of Danielle Trant, who also operates as Indy Pop Photo, based in Colorado. When this page says "I," "me" or "my," that's who it means. You can reach me at dani@indypopphoto.com.
What I collect
This site has no sign-up form, comment box or checkout of its own. I don't ask for your information here, and I don't use advertising pixels. The one tool that collects information as you browse is Google Analytics, and it only turns on if you accept it (more on that below).
Here is where information could come to me:
- Email. If you email me, I get your email address and whatever you write. I use it to reply to you, and I keep it as long as I need it for that conversation.
- Newsletter. The One More Loop newsletter is sent through Substack. If you subscribe, Substack collects your email address under its own privacy policy. I can see my subscriber list, and I use it only to send the newsletter. I never sell or share it.
- Wedding and mentoring forms. The inquiry and application forms are hosted by Dubsado. Anything you enter goes to me through Dubsado and is handled under Dubsado's privacy policy. I use it to respond to your inquiry and, if we work together, to run the project.
- Galleries. The sample wedding gallery is hosted by Pixieset, which has its own privacy policy.
Cookies and Google Analytics
When you first visit, a notice asks whether you're okay with analytics cookies. Nothing from Google Analytics loads until you click Accept. If you click Decline, it never loads. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat that as a Decline.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named things like _ga) and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you here, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. I use this to understand which pages are useful and how people find the site. I don't use it to identify you, and I don't use it for advertising.
You can change your mind anytime by clicking "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. You can also block Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google processes this data under its own policies, which you can read at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Other services that touch this page
- Netlify hosts this site. Like most web hosts, it keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, mostly for security and to keep the site running.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which means Google can see your IP address, even if you decline analytics cookies.
Links on this page to Substack, Instagram, Dubsado, Pixieset and other sites lead to places I don't control. Their privacy practices belong to them.
How I use and share information
I use what you send me to reply, to send the newsletter you signed up for, or to do the work you hired me for. I don't sell your personal information. I share it only with the services listed above that I need in order to do those things, or if the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link at the bottom of every issue.
- You can email me to ask what I have about you, or to ask me to correct or delete it. I'll take care of it, apart from anything I'm required to keep, such as a signed contract or tax records.
Kids
This site is written for adults and isn't aimed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this page changes, I'll update the date at the top. If I ever add another tracking tool, I'll update this page before I do.
