As a wedding photographer and former bride, I can tell you just how much brain fog I experienced on my wedding day. Hiring experienced professionals doesn’t mean you don’t know what you’re doing or that you don’t know how to plan your wedding. It simply means you get to handover the reins (it’s okay to let go, we promise) so we can handle the hard stuff, troubleshoot issues that may arise and be your biggest advocate. This allows you to focus on the fun parts of planning.
1. Seamless communication from the very beginning.
Having a photographer and a wedding planner who are part of the same team is a huge benefit to you. We have crystal clear communication from the start. Being on the same page, knowing and understanding what our couples want and working together to ensure our couples’ needs are met is essential. Often times when you hire a planner and photographer from separate businesses, the communication doesn’t start until the planner has already created the master timeline. A lot of back and forth can happen, trying to ensure there is enough time for all the photos you as the couple want and trying to make sure the master timeline and photo timeline match up. This is never an issue for us because we communicate from the start and our top priority is serving you the best way we can.
2. A team that is used to working together.
We are a mother daughter team so, obviously we’ve spent a lot of time together. Making things fun for our couples is what we do best. Not to mention, our level of organization and bringing out the best in each other. We are used to working as a team and our sole focus is serving you. It’s easy for us to talk things out, get on the same page and cover all your bases so all you have to do is enjoy yourself. It makes wedding planning that much more fun for us AND you!

I am ALL ABOUT communicating with every wedding vendor I work with. I look at us all as a team. However, that should go both ways. There are certain things I need as a photographer to ensure my couples are getting the best experience possible. All while maximizing the time they get to spend with their guests and capturing important moments. Karen and I are exactly on the same page when it comes to timeline building. It’s something we’re passionate about working on together instead of going constant back and forth.
